Yahweh's Legacy: The Enrichment Guide

This Family Enrichment Guide includes 12 years of Charlotte Mason style homeschooling enrichment selections specifically tailored to those of Judeo-Christian faith, including selections and lesson plans for: Art Appreciation, Shakespeare, Music Appreciation, Poetry, Hymn Study, Habit Training, Character Reading, Practicing Righteousness, Drawing, Handicrafts, & Nature Study. ABOUT THE SELECTIONS Yahweh’s Legacy curriculum is designed to be organized as a chronological, Charlotte Mason, Family Style Unit Study curriculum based upon the different eras in history. The enrichment selections reflect the intention to choose artists, composers, etc, which are relevant to each time period. Many of the selections for ancient history, therefore, were derived specifically from ancient Hebrew and/or Judaism. Many of the poetry selections, for example, were removed due to content that does not reflect the character of Yahweh. Likewise, many selections were added from the Bible due to their historical significance. Instead of focusing on choosing selections based upon what is most popular, many of the selections were made with the specific purpose of honoring those holding a Jewish and/or Christian worldview – while taking great effort toward excluding works which may point to the Law being abolished. These are just a few ways in which this curriculum honors the legacy of Yahweh. You may not see Leonardo DaVinci in the list of artists to study, but you will find artists like Korah and his sons listed because they have specifically been named in the Torah for their artistry and craftmanship. You may not find Ernest Hemmingway within the poetry selections, but you will find David, Solomon, and Job listed within the poetry studies. You may not find Bach or Mozart within the composer study selections, but you will find selections from David, Solomon, and others who wrote songs of worship to Elohim God Almighty.
